AWP Coordinator

The AWP Coordinator will be responsible for managing the AWP program, including influencing early project setup and guiding engineering and project control systems.

 

The Construct-X AWP Coordinator works directly with our Construct-X clients to drive the efficient implementation, monitoring and mentoring of the AWP program on a construction project or at a corporate programmatic level.

 

The Construct-X AWP Coordinator will be placed in a USA Gulf-Coast area client office. Work may also include a home office (telecommuting), with some additional travel possible. Work will include construction site visits, team meetings, and conferences.

 

 

The AWP Coordinator job responsibilities:

 

Provide strategic consulting and implementation advise to clients

Ensure engineering deliverables and data align with AWP program requirements

Align engineering, procurement and construction stakeholders to implement and facilitate their company specific AWP programs

Drive efficient implementation of AWP Programs through any stage of a project’s lifecycle

Monitor and assess a client’s progress in their AWP program

Coaching and mentoring AWP team members

Work with clients to gather and analyze project details for AWP application

Create, or oversee the creation of, digital materials including AWP playbooks, guidelines, Work Packages

Effectively apply Construct-X–supplied materials with clients

Coordinate with clients and internal Construct-X teams to ensure planning process is well executed and deliverables are produced in a timely manner

Support creation of weekly and short-range lookahead planning materials for projects

Training in AWP techniques

Other AWP related implementation and Construct-X responsibilities

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in AWP or transferable skills.

Engineering experience managing design deliverables in the context of AWP.

Experience preferred in one or more engineering and construction technologies such as 3-D design tools (SP3D, E3D, Autodesk, Microstation, OpenPlant), ConstructSim, Smart Plant Construction (SPC), Navisworks, BIM360, Synchro, project controls tools, Primavera, etc.

Intermediate to advanced-level skills with Microsoft Office

Detail-oriented construction planning skills

Strong verbal and written communication

Demonstrated expertise in client relations and handling challenging situations

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while effectively meeting client deliverable deadlines

Able to engage with multiple projects to deliver key requirements on schedule

Ability to smoothly interface with people of varying skill sets and cultural backgrounds

Commitment to safety

Certificate in Construction Management, Engineering degree, or construction trade experience preferred. PMP certification is an asset

Industrial construction experience is an asset
